Itch, Itch...

After working around the yard. I seem to have gotten some poison ivy. Funny thing. I think it's going away, but just seems to spread. Had it since last Monday. It started on my forehead and then my scalp. It was awful.
I just want it to go away. I've bought lotions, sprays, and even some pills to take the itch away. Nothing seems to be helping. I've tried everything except pour bleach on the infected areas. Which someone did suggest. I haven't even given that tip a thought.
What do you do when you get poison ivy? Have any homemade recipes or cures?
Would love to hear!

At least the gardens are weeded and cleaned up for a bit. Next time, I'll be on the lookout to avoid it. But honestly, I didn't see any.

Enjoy your week!

Ouch -- poor you. I had PI a few years ago and it took weeks to resolve. I couldn't even sit down -- it was everywhere.

However, I must say your garden is gorgeous -- just the right amount of whimsy. Love it.

I've heard bleach works also (I was stung with fire ants really bad last week...that was one of the remedies.) Anyway, my mother is highly allergic to poison ivy and usually has to get a shot to dry it up, but...she has found something which cools the itch and helps heal...it's called Sarna and you can get it a drug store or W-mart. (I don't know if you've tried it, but she swears by it and so did the druggist when I went to get it.) BTW...everything looks great!
