Colors of Spring

This was the second batch of flowers that I cut from my garden. Love the burst of color when they open up.
Took a ride to the farm and started checking out some plants. I always wait till Mother's Day to plant. But boy, going through the green house, I was itching to pick up some plants.

But I was good. Just kept on walking and looking at all the different types out there. I did happen to pick up some Pansies for my mom.

She loves putting them into her baskets and pots on her patio. The colors were just beautiful, they just popped right at you. It wasn't hard at all picking some of these.

I have bunches of these popping up all over the place. Front of the house and the back yard. I'm surprised they still are popping in the back yard. With Chloe on the prowl, usually nothing stays alive.

My plum and pear trees take my breath away in the Spring. The way the colors just come out in the trees. I could just sit out there all day looking at them. Just wished the colors would last longer.
I love Spring for the new beginnings that it brings to everything outside. From the birds singing to the flowers breaking through the ground. A fresh start for everything.

Everything looks gorgeous! I couldn't stop myself...I have no willpower...I planted and planted and planted, just couldn't wait! It was a long, cold winter and I needed some color!

The flowers are beautiful! I wish our spring was as lovely. I woke up this morning, looked out the window, and I could have sworn my house was mystically whisked away to Narnia when it was ruled by the Snow Queen.

Got to love Alaska Spring Snows.... I just wish the white stuff would go away already.

Thanks for visiting my blog. That's funny that you said the owl reminded me of your moms. My boyfriends mother was talking about how owls were popular when she was younger. How things come around.

I remember wearing bell bottoms in high school because they were retro.

So pretty! I love spring flowers, daffys are my fav. They only last for a short time but are so refreshing after winter!

I do love all the color that's popping up everywhere! I'm waiting for my yellow tulips to burst open. It is a pretty time of year. Mother's Day seems like a long way off yet....Last year, I lost all of my tomatoes to a frost around Memorial Day (and then I replanted and lost them all to a fungus). So this year, I'm going to hold off a bit before I go crazy planting.
