Since I'm home today and I know I wont be going out. Figured, what a good day to start with the clutter. Every year seems to be more and more decorations. Just going to take some down, not all. The tree will be the last to go. Didn't want to, but someone has to. Haven't been doing much at all. Just enjoying the holidays. A bit to much, especially with all the goodies around. I think this year, Susan will be making some resolutions. Not one for them, but thinking this time around, we are going to give it a whirl. See how long I can stick with them. Does anyone really make them and stick with them all through the new year?

Tried a new recipe. Actually, just threw it together. Shepard's Pie.....MMM! Came out okay.

1 lb chop meat, 2 beef soup cubes, pkg frozen vegetables, 1 can of diced tomatoes, mashed potatoes

Brown the chop meat and drain, add can tomatoes, 2 beef soup cubes, stir well. Add the box of frozen vegetables. Heat through. Pour mixture into a greased pie dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top. Heat oven to 350, bake for approx 20-25 mins or until brown.

**Now I used real mashed. I'm sure if you want to use the box, would taste just as tasty.

Enjoy!

Susan

Happy New Year, Susan! I grew up with Shepard's Pie, being that both my parents are from Great Britain! We always had a roast of some sort on Sundays. Mondays was "Bubble & Squeak" days (left over mashed tatos and veggies, fried up into a patty) and then Shepards pie on Tues with the meat left overs! Love, Esther
